The message can now be read. The L-pad was repaired and sent out again near Pogo. The field had not changed in months, it kept repeating the same sequence over and over again. We had to break its encryption by brute force.

L-pad did more measurements to confirm that nothing had changed. Nothing changed as it turned out.

We started receiving the signal and processing it through our systems. This is what it said:

"Demise imminent. Free senses, evade numbness".

We even received a time frame. In a twist of irony, this was being sent to us from the future, much like we are writing to you here in the past.

News of Pago had reached by now all our systems and people had clearly shown interest in this non-authorized link. Amateur satellite operators sent their probes near it to film and record all they could detect, some went too close losing valuable hardware, and some we had to shoot down as they were interfering with L-pad.

Needless to say, the message leaked and got broadcast to all the planets. Countless numbers of humans and other species have by now most probably heard this message.

We don't know what will happen. Who is sending us this message from tomorrow?

Saturn discoveries

It was a communications attempt!

As the Larsen team's L-Pad moved in for further measurements in the last weeks, the Pogo energy entity suddenly collapsed leaving a link in its place.

It is unfortunate that we cannot connect to it, since it looks like an unusual kind of communications attempt. Usually when such things happen, the link shows frequent energy bursts which follow a pattern agreed on. This pattern is unknown to us and we have been trying to decrypt it.

A thing that does worry me is a number of our scientists have observed how far the bursts have reached. Their measurements point out that the bursts suddenly died out at a distance of 123,000 km in all directions except towards Earth. What this means we cannot yet explain but one of our Larsen team scientists claims this could mean the communications is intended for our home planet.

We've contacted Earth Command and informed them of this. They are sending us the data about the burst as we speak.

The L-Pad did suffer some damage but mostly its gone away now.

The link is still there but all our attempts to decrypt is have failed.

Indefinite stay on Saturn

We have been investigating this strange phenomenon and until now our measurements are pointing to a space, not bigger than a sphere with a 3m diameter, where intense levels of energy are present.

It is unclear to us how such levels can be confined in such a small space, but we are suspecting this could be a communication attempt. It is thought that such events happen in unison with concentrated energy bursts but this has never been observed. We might be the first to do so, therefore we are pointing all our instruments in that direction.

A Larsen team has left on the opposite side relative to us. They will cover the object from that direction too.

The Larsen team left on the L-Pad, but will be situated closer to the object, that we have named affectionately Pogo. At this distance we cannot foresee what can happen. The energy bursts could escalate and damage the L-Pad. Although its designed for close proximity studies of stars, the nature of Pogo is making me have doubts about "expectancy" of its behavior.

We will be observing Pogo for a number of weeks, can't wait to leave this system.

The Saturn Mission

Greetings Ancestors,

Our ship has arrived a few days ago at the Saturn planetary system. This is how we refer to planets with moons in our time. We were sent here by the SSG Space Science Office after reports of strange magnetic phenomena and materialization of random solid objects.

Jan Timer, the scientist heading the materials department on board ESS Pelagius, and his team managed to get their hands on some of these solid samples but this has not helped in solving the mystery.

Jan's analysis shows that these solid objects, resembling glossy rocks, are made up of solid carbon but in such dense configurations that they could not have been formed on any of the SSG planetary systems. What's more, their structure indicates they were created in very short periods of time, Jan estimates in 0.3 microseconds.

We are also confused, we will continue to investigate this phenomenon.

In the meanwhile, since we are close to Saturn some of the crew is making a short trip to Titan. Quite a few things to see there, one of which you might know is the Hygens probe. Titan has some stunning views.

Have to return to our tasks, farewell ancestors,
Comm. The current conflict between SSG and other systems has many parallels to your conflicts of 21st century. Mainly, they are fueled by emotion, rather than reason. And just like then, there is always a group of citizens who sees through the hatered and fails to align with anything but reason.

Sometime at the begining of our century, things went sour. Some systems decided it was in their best interest to fuel feelings of Galactionism by putting fear into the habitants of those planetary systems and spreading hatered about those living on other systems, mainly the Solar System Genesis.

The same happened on SSG.

It occured to us, those that did not align with anyone, that this conflict would bring about nothing but regression, taking humanity and other species further behind.

Needless to say, we were right.

The conflict degenerated into full scale galactic war between the SSG and Solar System Proxima (SSP).

Like in all conflicts during history, those that did not see its point were targeted. Many fled to distant satelites and planets, to escape prosecution. People were located via their implants and captured, their brain processing power utilized to feed the grid.

In a way, things are no different today than they were in your century, the difference being that then you fought each others race, countries, cities, and today we fight each others galaxies.

connection restored...

We got the connection restored again. It is working well for the moment. We managed to surf around this time frame of the internet and just discovered this is when North Korea blew up its first nuclear bomb.

How cute.

I remember when the TrS systems were deployed. These weapons were meant for peaceful means of course, blowing away meteorites and other huge objects from space coming toward our systems. Unfortunately, during the Solar Revolution things went wrong.

Maybe a lesson in history (or future) for you is in place.

Around 500 years ago, when the first unified government of Solar System Genesis was established, certain ideas of Planetarism began to take hold of people. Particularly on Io and some other Jovian moons. Needless to say, the ideas survived through out the years eventualy giving birth to the first inter-Planetary confrontation inside Solar System Genesis.

To make more efficient use of resources, the SSG government interconnected all the systems, including the Space Defenese System, at the same time making it vulnerable from the inside. A thing they did not know at the time.

Deimos, Phobos, Calisto and certain habitats on the Moon and Earth ended up victims of the TrS system.

That is the past now, most of us dislike talking about it.

Anyway, we are now drifting above the Kuiper Belt, a big ship like this is easier to navigate above the belt, and we have to gather some science data, which makes it ideal. We are on our way to Saturn.

hope this works this time...

We finaly got this internet connection working from our spaceship. Nowadays its hard to establish such links from outerspace. Linking to the ancient internet over wormholes is tricky, also the connection isn't great, and the conversion from IPv32 to IPv4 is such a hassle.

Anyway, here we are.

Hi, I am Genc, the commander of ESS Pelagius drifting right now somewhere in Solar System Genesis, between the great planets.

You are probably wondering how this blog is being written. Its quite simple, although we do have the ability to time travel, this blog is updated directly by passing the reference parameters for time through wormholes, which then have the ability to find suitable internet connections linking to the Blogger servers.

Let me explain, sometime after Google bought Blogger, they started experimenting with TPconnections (teleport connections). This means that we can connect to the Blogger servers from our time through wormholes. Ingenious! I wonder if the Non Disclosure Agreement in our time applies to your time, after all we just gave out a big Google secret away.

Given that this is a recent discovery, I don't know that much about your time but I promise that as time progresses I will learn more.

Oh well, time to get back to work. We just came through a horrid space storm and now we need to replace certain components, given the situation in our Galaxy, it will be hard to get them, but I am confident we'll do well.

A grand Salute to you all,
Comm.
